DIY Cosplay Crafts: Refinishing and repainting halloween weapons and props for cosplay

This video is the first of a new DIY series set in a fictional medieval world in the city of Parody. The video is a real DIY instructional video but is also a parody of the genre itself. Gunter Greybeard is the title character in the city of Parody who has decided to be the world first medieval youtuber and has set about to do so in Parody Squared’s own unique and unusual way.

Episode I This episode see’s Gunter Greybeard showing how to take basic, poorly painted halloween props and refinishing them so that they look much more realistic. He teaches how to give the weapons texture, how to get paint to better adhere to plastic, how to basecoat or prime the original, and finally how to drybrush the weapons to get the desired effect. In this video Gunter is aided by one of his Oompa Loompas and is paid a visit by a casual Gandalf the Grey.
